Islamabad (Web Desk): The Pakistani authorities have achieved a major breakthrough in the investigation of the suicide attack that took place in the Tarlai Kalan area of the federal capital, successfully dismantling a terrorist network by arresting the attack’s mastermind along with four facilitators.

According to security sources, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) carried out targeted intelligence-based operations in Peshawar and Nowshera, using advanced technical surveillance and human intelligence.

As a result of these operations, four facilitators linked to the suicide bomber were taken into custody.

The chief planner of the attack, identified as the mastermind, has also been arrested.

As per the security sources, he is an Afghan national with links to the terrorist organization Daesh.

Investigations have revealed alarming details, indicating that the entire planning of the Tarlai Kalan attack, along with the training and radicalization of the terrorists, was carried out at Daesh centers in Afghanistan.
