Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Rawalpindi district administration announced the imposition of Section-144 for a period of 15 days to maintain law and order amid growing security concerns.

The directive, issued by the Deputy Commissioner, will be effective across the district from April 6 to April 20.

The order bars all forms of gatherings, including rallies, processions, sit-ins, and protests involving five or more individuals. It also prohibits carrying or displaying weapons, using loudspeakers, and riding with pillion passengers.

Officials explained that the measure was prompted by intelligence reports pointing to possible threats against sensitive sites and general public safety.

Authorities have made it clear that anyone found violating these restrictions will face stringent legal consequences.
