Lahore (Web Desk): On the occasion of Defence Day, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz extended her profound respect and gratitude to every officer, soldier, martyr, and war veteran of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
In her message on the occasion, she highlighted the unwavering dedication and sacrifices made by the military in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and integrity.
Maryam Nawaz recalled the historic battles where the Pakistan Army showcased exceptional courage and resilience, notably in the war of 1965.
She emphasized how the armed forces’ unwavering faith and strong conviction led them to triumph over their adversaries, thereby earning Pakistan international recognition and respect.
“Victories in war are not achieved merely through superior weaponry but through firm belief, courage, and a steadfast heart,” she remarked. She further expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty for bestowing strength upon Pakistan, enabling the country to remain robust and impervious to external threats.
The Punjab chief minister also paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the motherland and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the armed forces in all endeavors.
She urged the nation to unite in honoring the sacrifices of the heroes who defend the country’s borders with unparalleled bravery.
