Quetta (Staff Report/Agencies): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday said that the true potentials of Balochistan will be realised through a comprehensive national effort, cooperation between federal and provincial governments and assistance of the armed forces.
The prime minister said this during a visit to the headquarters of Southern Command at Quetta Cantt on Saturday, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The PM said only a cohesive national effort will take provinces and the country to the rightful destination of peace, progress and prosperity.
Imran Khan acknowledged and appreciated contributions of security forces towards improving peace, stability and socio-economic development of the province.
Earlier, the prime minister along with Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal and federal ministers arrived at Quetta airbase where he was received by Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
A detailed briefing was given to the prime minister on security situation of the province, challenges and responses.
The PM was also briefed about socio-economic development based Khushal Balochistan program, security of China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects and progress on fencing along Pak-Afghan border.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that having achieved stability in troubled areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, lately the focus of the armed forces has been on Balochistan, which is economic future of Pakistan.
