Islamabad (Web Desk): Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has stated that the government remains fully committed and determined to meet its set economic targets without deviation.

He shared these views while addressing the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF) signing ceremony arranged by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in Islamabad.
The finance minister reiterated that Pakistan will continue to honour all obligations and commitments made with international financial institutions during the ongoing fiscal year.

He also expressed satisfaction that, despite tensions stemming from the US-Iran conflict, Pakistan has successfully re-entered international capital markets after a gap of four years.

Muhammad Aurangzeb said that this achievement reflects strong confidence and renewed trust from global and institutional investors in Pakistan’s economic direction.

Describing the establishment of the CMDF as a major step forward, he said it represents a collective effort to deepen, widen, and modernize the country’s capital markets.

The minister highlighted that over the past two years, more than 220,000 new investors have become part of Pakistan’s equity market.

He further noted that April alone saw 24,000 new investors joining, which is the highest monthly figure ever recorded.

Aurangzeb added that the government is actively working to build a supportive ecosystem that enables the private sector to take the lead in driving economic progress.

The finance minister also assured that every possible measure will be taken to accelerate Pakistan’s shift towards renewable energy and a more sustainable future.
