Karachi (Web Desk): Pakistan on Friday Pakistan jumped to the top of the one-day international (ODI) rankings after defeating New Zealand by 102 runs in the 4th game of five-match series.
Batting first, Pakistan scored 334 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 50 overs.
In reply, New Zealand were all out for 232 runs in 43.4 overs.
Skipper Babar Azam who scored 102 runs was declared player of the match. He became the fastest batter to complete 5,000 one-day international runs breaking SA’s Hashim Amla’s record.
After winning this match, Pakistan has achieved number one position in the ICC ODI rankings for the first time since the introduction of ICC's official team ranking system in 2005.
