Lisbon (Staff Report): Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first sport star to reach 100 million followers on Instagram.
According to details, the 32-year-old footballer achieved this milestone in the same week in which he scored a fabulous hat-trick, 47th of his illustrious career, for Real Madrid against Atletico in Champions League match. Real Madrid triumphed 3-0 over city rivals Atletico.
The football star also completed his 400 goals for Real Madrid recently.
Cristiano has the second most Instagram followers on the planet behind pop star Selena Gomez, who has 119 million.
When we take a look on the list of top ten athletes with most Instagram followers, Cristiano Ronaldo with 100 million followers is followed by Neymar (74m), Lionel Messi (70.8m), James Rodriguez (30.7m), LeBron James (29.9m), Gareth Bale (28.8m), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (24.7m), Ronaldinho Gaucho (22.5m), Luis Suarez (21.9m) and Karim Benzema (18.2m).
