PSL 9: Karachi Kings beat Quetta Gladiators by 7 wickets

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by seven wickets in the 9th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to field first.

Batting first, Quetta Gladiators scored 118 runs and were all out in 19.1 overs.

Gladiators' Saud Shakeel was outstanding by scoring 33 runs, while Jason Roy scored 15, Khawaja Nafee 17, Riley Russo 10, Sherfeen Rutherford 9, Aqeel Hussain 14, Amir 2, Muhammad Hasnain 5 and Usman Tariq 1. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Abrar scored 7 and 1 runs respectively.

On behalf of Karachi, fast bowler Hasan Ali took the most 4 wickets while Blessing Muzarbani and Zahid Mehmood dismissed 2 players each. Mir Hamza managed to dismiss one player.

Chasing the target, Karachi Kings scored 121 runs in 15.3 overs.

Tim Seifert played an innings of 49 runs, James Vance scored 27 runs while captain Shaan Masood got out by scoring 7 runs. Shoaib Malik scored 27 and Irfan Khan remained not out by scoring 4 runs and lead his team to victory.

For Quetta Gladiators, Aqeel Hussain, Mohammad Amir and Abrar Ahmed got one wicket each.
