Gold price decreases by Rs2,400 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices posted fresh losses in Pakistan's bullion market on Monday, reflecting a weaker trend in global precious metals.

The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs2,400, settling at Rs437,436.

The value of 10 grams of 24-karat gold declined by Rs2,058 to Rs375,030. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also moved lower, shedding Rs1,886 to close at Rs343,790.

In the international markets, gold prices slipped by $24 per ounce, taking the precious metal's value to $4,150 per ounce.

Silver also remained under pressure in the domestic market. The price per tola dropped by Rs37 to Rs6,679, while the rate for 10 grams decreased by Rs31, reaching Rs5,726.

The international silver market recorded a similar decline, with the metal losing $0.37 per ounce to settle at $62.00, according to the association.
