Hangu's hero Aitezaz Hasan remembered on his death anniversary 

Hangu (Web Desk): The 11th death anniversary of Aitzaz Hasan Shaheed, who laid down his life to foil the attempt of a suicide bomber to enter his school in Hangu, is being observed today (Monday).

He became a national hero after he saved hundreds of lives on January 6, 2014 thwarting the terrorist attack.

Aitzaz Hasan had grabbed the suicide bomber at main gate to prevent him from entering the school.
Aitzaz Hasan was posthumously awarded Sitara-e-Shujaat for his bravery.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday paid tribute to Shaheed Aitezaz Hasan who sacrificed his life to save his school and classmates from a devastating attack.

“Today, we commemorate the martyrdom of Shaheed Aitezaz Hasan, a true son of the soil from district Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), whose extraordinary courage stands as a beacon of hope and resilience,” the premier posted on social media handle X.

He noted that at just 15 years of age, Aitezaz displayed unparalleled bravery, valiantly sacrificing his life to shield his school and classmates from a devastating attack.

“His selflessness and unwavering resolve remind us of his lasting impact a single act of courage can have on countless lives,” the prime minister added.

He emphasized that Aitezaz’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
