Sydney test: Amir out of test following muscle injury

Sydney (Staff Report): Pakistan's left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir is out for the remainder of the third Test against Australia after receiving an injury during physical training earlier today.

According to details, Amir pulled a muscle and is suffering from a strain in his left intercostal muscle and went for an MRI instead of taking the field at the Sydney Cricket Ground. 

Amjad Hussain, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Director Media told the media that Amir's MRI revealed a mark showing strain. He further added that doctors advised Amir to take rest because it might take 3-4 days to recover.

He added, "He will be unavailable to bowl in the third Test in Sydney but will be available to bat if required. He will be available for the ODI series in Australia."
