Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed 24 khwarij belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna al-Khwarij in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the military’s media wing said on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services ISPR, on reported presence of khwarij, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by the Security Forces in Orakzai District.
“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, 14 khwarij were sent to hell,” the statement said.
The ISPR said that another IBO was conducted in Khyber District. “In ensuing fire exchange, 10 more khwarij were effectively neutralized,” it added.
The military’s media wing said that sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area.

In statements issued separately, both leaders praised the professionalism, courage, and dedication of the officers and personnel involved in operations against Fitna al-Khawarij in Orakzai and Khyber districts.
President Zardari highlighted that the fight against terrorism, exacerbated by external influences, is progressing effectively and stressed that efforts would continue relentlessly until the menace is completely eliminated from the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to combating terrorism until its total eradication. He emphasized that under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, the nation stands united with the security forces, determined to foil the sinister designs of terrorist groups.
