Islamabad (Staff Report): Supreme Court of Pakistan will not held Panama Leaks case hearing this week due to unavailability Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, one of the members of the SC bench, who has been advised to take rest by his doctors.
Earlier this week, Justice Azmat Saeed underwent a successful angioplasty at a Rawalpindi hospital on Tuesday, where doctors placed a stent in his heart. The judge was discharged from the hospital on Sunday. He has been advised a week's rest by his doctors.
The hearing was likely to resume on Monday (today) but due to health condition of Justice Azmat Saeed, the five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court will not be available.
According to details, Justice Azmat Saeed is not part of any bench due to his ailment. Four benches comprising of 11 judges have been formed for hearing of cases in Islamabad.
The Panama Leaks case hearing is expected to resume on February 13.
Earlier, Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of Panama Leaks Case due to unavailability of Justice Azmat Saeed. It was decided that the hearing would resume once the judge recovers and returns to the bench.
