Islamabad (Web Desk): Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that while political protest and freedom of expression are everyone's right, statements against Pakistan's sovereignty, national honor, and the military are unacceptable.
He made these remarks in reference to the recent statements made by the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), warning that harsh language against the military and its leadership would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Khawaja Asif further emphasized that while protest and criticism are a fundamental right, they should be expressed within acceptable limits.
He pointed out that even during previous governments, there was criticism of the military, but it never crossed the "red line."
The Defence Minister also condemned the behavior of the PTI founder's sisters criticizing Pakistan on Indian media, asserting that such actions go against the national interest and are detrimental to the country's welfare.
