Lahore (Staff Report/Agencies): Punjab Police have arrested at least seven more prime accused over the past 12 hours over the lynching of Sri Lanka national Priyantha Kumara Diyawadanage.
So far, a total of 131 suspects have been arrested in connection with the Sialkot lynching case.
A statement issued by the Punjab police spokesperson said that arrested suspects Sikandar, Rashid, Ahmed Shehzad, Zohaib, Muhammad Irshad, Subhan and Umair Ali, were part of the mob that brutally murdered Priyantha.
Meanwhile, the remains of Sri Lankan factory manager were shifted to Lahore’s Allama Iqbal Airport to be sent off to Colombo today.
On Friday, a Sri Lanka citizen employed as an exports manager at a factory in Sialkot — who was lynched by a mob in Sialkot over allegations of blasphemy. He was tortured by the mob to death and his body was set on fire as well.
