Washington (Web Desk): United States (US) President Donald Trump has once again issued a stern warning over the ongoing military confrontation with Iran, saying the US could soon launch a heavy strike against Iran’s underground nuclear facility at Pickaxe Mountain.

According to international media reports, Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters, describing the ongoing situation with Iran as a military conflict.

However, he downplayed its significance for Washington, saying the confrontation was not a major concern for the US.

Trump also referred to previous US military operations, including those involving Venezuela and other fronts.

Although he suggested that Pickaxe Mountain could be targeted, the president did not disclose any specific date or timeframe for a potential attack.

Pickaxe Mountain is regarded as one of Iran’s significant nuclear facilities.

Located deep beneath the mountain, the site is considered among the country’s most heavily protected installations and presents a particularly difficult target for any military operation.

Reports indicate that the facility contains two tunnel complexes buried inside the mountain, further complicating any attempt to strike it.

Analysts say the exceptional depth of the underground facility raises major questions about how a potential US attack could be carried out and what its possible consequences might be.

Trump’s warning comes as Iran’s nuclear infrastructure has already been targeted in US and Israeli strikes.

Following reports of extensive damage to the uranium-enrichment facility at Natanz, Iran has also imposed restrictions on inspections and access to information by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), adding further uncertainty to international efforts to monitor the country’s nuclear programme.
