Beirut (Web Desk): the death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon has risen to over 2000 while 9,384 people injured since October 8, 2023.

According to international media reports, more than 2,000 people have been martyred in Israel's attacks across the country, including 127 children and 261 women.

"Israeli airstrikes have destroyed dozens of healthcare facilities and killed forty members of medical and emergency teams," said Lebanese Health Minister Firas Alabiad.

Even though Israel attacked both Gaza and Lebanon at the same time, the attacks grew more intense after September 23. Although Tel Aviv claimed to be targeting solely Hezbollah objectives in Lebanon, the Lebanese Health Ministry reports that over 1,100 individuals were killed in the strikes.

Following a Hamas attack last year, Tel Aviv launched a merciless offensive on the Gaza Strip that has killed approximately 41,800 people, predominantly women and children. This aerial campaign was an extension of the year-long cross-border combat between Israel and Hezbollah.

The world community has warned that Israeli attacks in Lebanon could escalate the Gaza conflict into a wider regional war.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, more than 200,000 people have taken refuge in Syria from Lebanon to escape the Israeli bombing.
