Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that the provincial government has allocated all necessary resources for the “Suthra Punjab” (Clean Punjab) programme.
Addressing a ceremony related to the initiative in Lahore on Tuesday, she said that cleanliness and sanitation are a key benchmark of any government’s performance and there can be no compromise on this aspect.
She further described the Suthra Punjab programme as a project very close to her heart, adding that extending it to every street, neighbourhood, and city across the province remains a top priority of the government.
The Punjab CM said that provision of clean and healthy environment to the citizens is both a responsibility of the state and a fundamental right of the people.
The chief minister also made it clear that no form of corruption will be tolerated in the implementation of the programme and that transparency will be ensured under all circumstances.
