Washington (Web Desk): Following continued bombing raids by the United States (US) and Israel on Iranian targets, Iran has launched the nineteenth wave of retaliatory strikes against Israel.
Iranian authorities said the latest phase targeted American and Israeli military installations, with more than 40 missiles and drones fired during the attacks.
The Iranian military also claimed that ten American and Israeli drones were destroyed during the operation. Tehran warned that if Washington and Tel Aviv attempt to engineer regime change in Iran, the country would respond by targeting Israel’s nuclear facilities.
Meanwhile, the US Senate rejected a resolution that sought to pressure President Donald Trump to halt military strikes against Iran.
The move was defeated by 52 votes to 47. The outcome reflected majority support within the Senate for continuing military action against Iran, signaling that there remains significant political backing in the US for the ongoing campaign.
At the same time, Israeli forces carried out airstrikes across several Iranian cities, causing widespread damage in multiple areas, including the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Israel also conducted strikes in Lebanon, where three people were killed and six others injured. According to reports, the total number of fatalities from Israeli attacks in Lebanon has now risen to 75.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said its air defense systems intercepted and shot down three cruise missiles near the city of Al-Kharj. Officials confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident.
Separately, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem declared that an open war has now begun in the region and said responding to Israeli aggression was necessary.
He claimed that Hezbollah forces had targeted Israeli military bases and stressed that Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon is the first essential condition for achieving peace.
