New Delhi (Web Desk): Mod-led government's actions against minorities, particularly Muslims in India, have reportedly crossed all limits, drawing concern even from sections of the Indian media.
According to a report published by the well-known Indian magazine The New Indian Express, the situation of discrimination and alleged persecution of Muslims under the patronage of the Modi government has been exposed, highlighting serious concerns over their treatment.
The report states that in a fresh wave of anti-Muslim actions, a madrassa in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was demolished on the allegation of encroaching on government land, while two other religious schools were forcibly shut down.
It further reveals that following these actions in Ghaziabad, extremist elements have reportedly become emboldened, issuing open threats to demolish the globally recognized Islamic educational and religious institution Darul Uloom Deoband.
International observers and human rights groups have expressed deep concern over the report, stating that targeting Muslim properties and identity under state patronage raises serious questions about India’s claim of secularism.
