London (Web Desk/Agencies): In United Kingdom (UK), the Labour Party has secured a landslide victory in the 2024 general elections.
According to the results, Labour Party secured 410 seats while Conservative Party could grab only 119 seats.
“Change begins now,” Labour Party leader Keir Starmer said in his victory speech.
"We said we would end the chaos, and we will, we said we would turn the page, and we have. Today, we start the next chapter, begin the work of change, the mission of national renewal and start to rebuild our country."
He said that said the masses have delivered an opportunity for the UK to get its future back and restore the country to the service of working people.
Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak conceded the Conservative Party's defeat in the and congratulated Labour Party Prime Minister candidate Keir Starmer following the election loss.
"Today power will change hands in a peaceful and orderly manner, with goodwill on all sides," Sunak said after regaining his seat. "There is much to learn and reflect on and I take responsibility for the loss to the many good hardworking Conservative candidates ... I am sorry."
Following the landslide victory, Keir Starmer, the centre-left Labour Party leader would be the next prime minister.
He will face an electorate eager for change amid economic struggles, increasing distrust in institutions, and a fraying social fabric.

Liberal Democrats - 71
