Beijing (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari is in Beijing on a five-day state visit at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
On his arrival, the president was received by the Chinese Finance Minister Lan Fo'an, Pakistan Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong.
During the visit, Asif Ali Zardari will hold meetings with the top political leadership of China as he will meet with his Chinese counterpart President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Chiang of the State Council of China.
The two sides would also exchange views on the unfolding global and regional geopolitical landscape, and bilateral cooperation at multilateral fora.
At the special invitation of the Chinese government, the president would also attend inaugural ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, Heilongjiang province of China.
President's visit to China is of great importance in further strengthening bilateral relations.
It will play an important role in enhancing bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, and Dr Asim Hussain are accompanying the President.
