Karachi (Web Desk): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has emphasized that the PPP is committed to the welfare of the people, with the Sindh government prioritizing improvements in the healthcare sector.

He revealed that health facilities in the province's hospitals are being enhanced, and the largest network for heart disease treatment has been established in Sindh.

Bilawal Bhutto stated that the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) facilities are available in Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur, Mithi, Sehwan, and Shaheed Benazirabad, while chest pain units are operational in every district of Karachi.

He assured that NICVD would provide treatment according to international standards, and the PPP is providing free and quality healthcare to citizens.

He further mentioned that the expensive CyberKnife treatment is available for free in Karachi, and significant steps have been taken to improve maternal and child health, leading to a decrease in child mortality rates.

Bilawal Bhutto added that after the 18th Amendment, there has been considerable progress in the health sector in Sindh, with PPP effectively promoting public-private partnerships for high-quality healthcare.

He stressed that Sindh is leading the country in heart disease treatment, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, the province successfully managed the treatment of major global diseases.

The PPP Chairman also highlighted the financial autonomy of the province, stating that after the collection of sales tax revenue by Sindh, the province has shown record-breaking performance and is ready to collect more taxes for the federal government. He stated that Sindh has proven it can run better institutions than the federal government and is prepared to take on more responsibilities.
