Karachi (Web Desk): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a positive note on Friday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 399 points during the trading session.
Following the increase, the index settled at 175,328 points at the close of business.
The benchmark index remained volatile throughout the day, moving within a range of 902 points between its intraday high and low.
Trading activity remained strong, with around 870 million shares changing hands in deals worth Rs32 billion.
Meanwhile, the total market capitalisation of the exchange increased by Rs42 billion, reaching Rs19,629 billion by the end of the session.
