Islamabad (Web Desk): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced November 20 as the final date for pilgrims opting for the private Hajj scheme to choose their preferred package and complete the required payment.
Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt announced the deadline in a statement issued on Friday.
According to the spokesperson, authorities have approved 16 standard Hajj packages for the private scheme this year, with prices starting from Rs1.4 million and going up to Rs3.75 million.
The packages have been designed to cater to different preferences, including shorter Hajj stays, direct flights for pilgrims travelling from abroad, and premium five-star accommodation options.
Butt said the majority of licensed Hajj organizer companies have already made their package details available through the ministry’s digital portal.
He advised pilgrims intending to perform Hajj through the private scheme to carefully select their package and submit payments exclusively through the official Hajj Portal or the Pak Hajj mobile application.
The spokesperson also cautioned that the ministry would bear no responsibility for financial losses resulting from payments made directly to an individual or a Hajj organizer company outside the designated official channels.
A total of 71,684 seats have been reserved for the private Hajj scheme this year, he added.
Butt further stated that the ministry is authorized to redistribute any portion of the private Hajj quota that remains unutilized after the prescribed deadline.
