Islamabad (Web Desk): Upholding its long-standing tradition of humanitarian assistance, the Pakistan Navy successfully carried out a rescue operation in the Arabian Sea, saving the lives of foreign crew members stranded at sea.
According to security sources, the commercial vessel MV Gautam, traveling from Oman to India, experienced a technical malfunction, leaving the crew stranded in the middle of the sea.
Observing the severity of the situation, the Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre in Mumbai requested urgent assistance from Pakistani authorities.
Bureau Chief of Neo News Islamabad, Javed Baloch, reported that the Pakistan Navy responded immediately upon receiving the alert, dispatching the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency vessel Kashmir to the site.
Navy personnel safely rescued six Indian and one Indonesian crew member from the vessel.
Security sources confirmed that the Pakistan Navy is providing emergency aid to the foreign crew and reiterated its commitment to protecting human lives at sea, regardless of race, nationality, or ethnicity, and to remaining ever-ready to assist in maritime emergencies.
