Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar stated on Wednesday that 481 operatives of the Afghan Taliban have been killed and more than 696 wounded since the commencement of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.

The minister said that the operation was initiated after “unprovoked aggression” from across the Afghan border.
Presenting an update on developments up to 4pm, the minister outlined the extent of damage inflicted on the Afghan Taliban regime.

He noted that Pakistani security forces had dismantled 226 check posts and taken over another 35 during the course of the operation.

Tarar further reported that 198 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery units had been destroyed as part of the ongoing military campaign.

In addition, he said air strikes had successfully engaged 56 different sites within Afghanistan.

Operation Ghazab Lil Haq began late Thursday night after renewed hostilities erupted along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, when Afghan Taliban forces allegedly fired at several locations, prompting a swift and robust military response from Pakistan.
