Islamabad (Web Desk) Charge d’Affaires of the United States (US) in Pakistan Ms. Natalie A. Baker has said that the partnership between the US and Pakistan is driven by a shared spirit and common interests.
Her remarks came during a reception held at the US Embassy in Islamabad to mark the 250th anniversary of US Independence, an event attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Speaking on the occasion, Baker welcomed the participation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and expressed appreciation for his presence at the ceremony.
She said that the two countries enjoy a strong and constructive partnership, adding that their genuine friendship is rooted in mutual interests.
The US envoy further noted that the strategic relationship between Pakistan and the United States is guided by a spirit of cooperation and shared commitment.
She said that the US diplomatic team has worked tirelessly in key areas including visa facilitation, trade, investment promotion, and security cooperation.
Baker also highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic role, stating that Islamabad hosted high-level talks between Iran and the United States in April, underscoring its contribution to facilitating dialogue on important international matters.
