Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to build a strategic partnership designed to benefit both nations, with a focus on deepening cooperation across several important sectors.
This announcement came through a joint declaration in Islamabad on Wednesday, marking the end of the two-day state visit by Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The agreement highlights collaboration in a broad range of areas, including political engagement, defense and security, trade and investment, transportation and logistics, education, science and technology, culture, media, sports, tourism, climate change, and environmental initiatives. Both leaders also stressed the importance of working together on regional and global issues.
During their meetings, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Tokayev welcomed the growing ties between the two countries, noting that a stronger partnership based on the principles of the UN Charter and internationally recognized norms of law would not only reinforce bilateral relations but also promote peace, stability, and connectivity throughout Central and South Asia and beyond.
President Tokayev expressed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Sharif and the people of Pakistan for their warm hospitality.
He extended an invitation to PM Shehbaz to visit Kazakhstan, which the premier accepted with appreciation.
