Gold price increases by Rs14,800 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices surged sharply in Pakistan’s local market on Wednesday, reflecting a strong upward trend in both domestic and international trading.

The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that the price of 24-karat gold per tola climbed by Rs14,800, closing at Rs529,162. In line with this, 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs12,689 to reach Rs453,671, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs11,632 to settle at Rs415,880.

Silver also experienced modest gains, with 24-karat silver per tola increasing by Rs109 to Rs9,255, and 10 grams of silver rising by Rs93 to Rs7,934.

International markets mirrored the domestic trend, with gold prices advancing by $148 to touch $5,064 per ounce, and silver climbing $1.09 to $87.80 per ounce, the association added.
