Kabul/Islamabad (Web Desk): A troubling new revelation has surfaced regarding the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, with claims that a coordinated effort is underway to fuel instability in Pakistan.
According to a report by Afghan media outlet Amaj News, fundraising activities for the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to as “Fitna al-Khawarij,” have intensified in northern Afghanistan, with Pakistan’s security as the apparent target.
The report indicates that the campaign has evolved into a well-organized operation. In several areas across northern Afghanistan, local residents are allegedly being pressured into providing financial support for TTP militants.
Under the supervision of Taliban authorities, individuals are said to be going door to door to collect funds, while those who refuse face threats of serious consequences.
These funds are reportedly intended to finance militant activities inside Pakistan, including the procurement of weapons, logistical support, and backing for suicide bombers.
Analysts suggest that northern Afghanistan is increasingly being used as a safe haven for TTP elements. They claim that the Taliban administration is not only providing these groups with space to operate but has also enabled a system of forced public fundraising to sustain them, a move seen as a clear breach of international commitments.
Pakistan has repeatedly presented evidence at international forums asserting that Afghan territory is being used to orchestrate attacks against it.
Following these latest disclosures, Pakistani security forces have been placed on heightened alert due to concerns over cross-border infiltration and potential terrorist activities.
Islamabad continues to urge the Afghan interim government to honor its commitments and prevent its soil from being used for militancy against neighboring countries.
