Islamabad (Web Desk): The government has announced another increase in fuel prices, raising petrol by Rs2.29 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.11 per litre effective Thursday, September 3.

The Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division issued a notification on Wednesday following the latest review conducted under the country’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot rates after taking into account international oil prices and other relevant cost factors.

With the new adjustment, the price of petrol has climbed to Rs346.16 per litre, while high-speed diesel will now be sold at Rs372.03 per litre.

The revised rates will remain applicable until the next scheduled review, as the government continues to adjust petroleum prices in response to movements in global oil markets and changes in associated costs.
