Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices surge sharply in Pakistan, with per-tola rate rising by Rs11,200
Gold prices recorded a significant increase across Pakistan on the fourth trading day of the business week, with the price of one tola of gold climbing by Rs11,200.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the latest increase has pushed the price of gold to Rs465,236 per tola.
The rate of 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs9,602, taking its price to Rs398,864.
Silver prices followed the upward trend as well, with the per-tola rate increasing by Rs185 to reach Rs7,044.
Meanwhile, gold also became more expensive in the international market. The price of gold rose by $112 per ounce, reaching $4,427 per ounce.
