Security forces kill seven Indian-sponsored terrorists in Balochistan's Sherani: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): The security forces killed seven Indian sponsored terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Sherani district of Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Friday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on Wednesday last, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Sherani area of Balochistan, on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij.

“During the conduct of operation, own forces effectively engaged the terrorists' location, and after an intense fire exchange, seven Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” the statement said.

It added that weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

The military’s media wing said that Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area.

“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipeout the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country, and reaffirm the nation's unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice,” the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for eliminating seven terrorists associated with the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al-Khawarij in Sherani district of Balochistan.

In their separate messages, the president and the premier stressed that the state will never allow those attempting to damage Pakistan’s integrity to succeed.

President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday praised the security forces for carrying out a successful operation against terrorists in Balochistan’s Sherani district.

In his statement, the president commended the bravery and professionalism of the personnel who eliminated the Indian-backed group Fitna al-Khawarij, describing them as national heroes who thwarted the designs of anti-state elements.

He emphasized that the people of Pakistan stand firmly with the armed forces in their mission to wipe out terrorism, assuring that the state will continue to take every possible measure to protect its citizens and establish peace.

The president paid glowing tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed appreciation for the forces who killed seven terrorists linked to the same group in Sherani.

He said those who targeted innocent and defenseless people had been decisively defeated.

The prime minister reiterated his government’s resolve to uproot terrorism, affirming that neither the nation nor its forces would ever allow anyone to endanger Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity.
