California (Web Desk): YouTube has introduced an exciting new feature for its viewers, making the process of liking videos more interactive. Now, along with the like button, viewers will also see brief animations when they click it.
Currently, this new like button is available on select videos. When users click on the like button, they will be shown an animation that aligns with the theme of the video. YouTube first announced this feature in October 2025, alongside various other changes to its user interface, and has now begun rolling it out.
At present, 20 different animations are available, depending on the type of video you are watching. For example, if you are watching a video about cars or auto racing, the like button will display an animation of spinning tires or smoke. If it's an educational video, the like button will turn into a lightbulb.
Special animations have also been created for videos featuring dogs and cats. However, a specific like button for children's videos has not yet been introduced.
