Skardu (Web Desk): Pakistan Army successfully conducted the second Marka-e-Haq Sarfaranga National Marathon 2026 in Skardu, bringing together runners from different regions of the country for a major sporting event.
The competition featured a 21-kilometre race across the Sarfaranga landscape, while separate fun run activities were arranged for students and senior citizens to promote wider participation.
More than 1,000 athletes, including competitors from Gilgit-Baltistan and other parts of Pakistan, took part in the marathon, reflecting the growing popularity of the event.
Muhammad Akhtar claimed the top spot in the race and was honoured with a gold medal along with a cash reward of Rs1 million for his outstanding performance.
