Istanbul (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reached Istanbul, Türkiye, where he was warmly received upon arrival at Atatürk Airport by Turkish Minister for Trade Dr. Omer Bolat along with senior officials from the Turkish Foreign Ministry and the Pakistani Embassy.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as well as Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, are accompanying the prime minister during the visit.
PM Shehbaz Sharif is visiting Türkiye at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During the visit, both leaders are expected to hold comprehensive discussions on the full spectrum of Pakistan–Türkiye bilateral relations.
The talks will particularly focus on expanding cooperation in trade and investment, while also exchanging views on regional peace and security issues.
In addition to official meetings, the prime minister will address a Pakistan-hosted business conference aimed at showcasing investment opportunities in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) energy, information technology, privatisation, and other key sectors. The event will bring together prominent Turkish business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs.
