Islamabad (Staff Report): The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday ordered Sindh government to reappoint all 11 members of Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC).

Sindh government lawyer, Farooq H Naik, during the hearing of suo motu case in Pakistan Supreme Court, raised an objection and said that the apex court took notice of SPSC issue, other provinces should be included in it.

Justice Amir Hani Muslim responded and said, “We want functional Sindh Public Service Commission".

SPSC’s three members approached the court earlier in October 2016, to become party in the suo motu hearing against the recent appointment of commission’s Chairman Muhammad Saleem Bhounr and its eight members.

The suo motu case was initiated by the  court on an application to the chief justice by advocate Muhammad Junaid Farooqui challenging the eligibility of the chairman as well as eight members of the commission on the grounds that they did not possess the qualification needed for the post.
