Quetta (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged the nation and its political leaders to set aside differences and unite in the battle against terrorism, ensuring lasting peace across the country.

During a meeting in Quetta to discuss the law and order situation, the premier made it clear that the focus should be on collective effort, not political division, and stressed the importance of putting all energy into defeating terrorism.

He paid heartfelt tribute to the security forces who have sacrificed so much in the fight against terrorism, expressing confidence that Pakistan will emerge as a peaceful nation.

Reflecting on his recent visit to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta, the PM Shehbaz praised the brave security personnel who were injured during clashes with terrorists in Kalat, commending their resilience and dedication.

“The elements spreading terrorism in Balochistan are enemies of the development of the province. The security forces are busy day and night to eliminate such elements,” he said.

However, he made it clear that this violence would not deter the government's commitment to Balochistan’s growth.

“The government's resolve to continue its development work in the province remains firm, PM Shehbaz assured, adding that such cowardly acts would not stop the progress underway.

He highlighted the government's ongoing focus on Balochistan’s development, noting efforts to improve health and education facilities while creating job opportunities for the people.

PM Shehbaz also mentioned a recent initiative that sent students from Balochistan to China for specialized agricultural training, alongside the Youth Program and Laptop Scheme, both of which aim to empower the province’s youth.

Meanwhile, the prime minister pointed to initiatives like the solarization of agricultural tube wells as a part of the broader strategy to promote sustainable farming in Balochistan.

Moreover, the premier expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and emphasized the significance of Gwadar Airport, which has started flights and is expected to be a key driver in connecting Pakistan to Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and beyond, enhancing its global role.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar and Power Minister Owais Leghari also accompanied the prime minister during his visit to Quetta.
