Islamabad (Agencies): Pakistan on Friday said since the Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts of its Embassy in Serbia have been hacked, messages being posted on these accounts were not from the embassy.
In a post on Twitter, Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad made the clarification.
“The Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts of the Embassy of Pakistan in Serbia have been hacked. Messages being posted on these accounts are not from the Embassy of Pakistan in Serbia,” the spokesperson wrote.
Prime Minister Imran Khan's digital media aide, Dr Arslan Khalid also said that the account was "hacked". An inquiry is being conducted by the Foreign Office, the focal person added.
Earlier, the official Twitter handle of Pakistan's embassy in Serbia posted a rather strange message severely criticising Prime Minister Imran Khan.
