Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices continued their upward movement in Pakistan on Monday, mirroring gains in the international bullion market, according to the latest figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The rate of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs1,700 per tola, pushing its price to Rs428,436. Likewise, the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,457, reaching Rs367,314.
The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also registered an increase, rising by Rs1,335 to settle at Rs336,716.
On the global market, gold prices edged up by $17 per ounce, taking the international rate to $4,060, the association said.
Silver prices also followed the same positive trend in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola advanced by Rs54 to Rs6,291, while the rate for 10 grams rose by Rs46, bringing it to Rs5,393.
In the international market, silver also gained value, with its price increasing by $0.54 per ounce to stand at $58.12, according to the association.
