Islamabad (Web Desk): Tremors from a 5.4 magnitude earthquake were felt in Islamabad and several cities in Khyber-Pakhtunkahw (KP) including Peshawar, Mohmand, Swat, Malakand, and surrounding areas, causing panic among residents who rushed out of their homes.
According to the Earthquake Monitoring Center, the quake had a depth of 22 kilometers and its epicenter was located in southeastern Afghanistan.
The tremors were strong enough to be widely felt, but no immediate reports of damage or casualties have emerged.
Authorities have urged residents to remain calm and stay alert for any aftershocks.
