Gaza (Web Desk): The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has strongly condemned an Israeli navy attack on the “Global Samoud Flotilla” carrying humanitarian aid for Gaza, calling the action "maritime piracy and terrorism."

In an official statement, Hamas said that Israeli forces targeted aid workers and journalists aboard the flotilla’s vessels, describing it as a grave crime against humanity. The organization labeled the assault a blatant violation of international law and human rights, warning that such actions would spark outrage around the world.

Hamas has called on the international community and the United Nations to strongly denounce Israel’s actions and to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of aid workers and humanitarian vessels.

The aid flotilla had departed from Spain on August 31, and was joined by additional boats and volunteers from various countries along the route. According to reports, the flotilla included dozens of boats carrying around 500 people. The Israeli navy intercepted and seized the vessels approximately 90 nautical miles off the coast from Palestinian territorial waters.
