Punjab governor, Karachi mayor vow stronger Sindh-Punjab cooperation

Lahore (Web Desk): A significant meeting was held at the Governor House Lahore between Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan and Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, focusing on the country’s political situation and strengthening inter-provincial cooperation.

During the meeting, Mayor Karachi praised the efforts of the Governor Punjab for strengthening and reorganizing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Punjab.

He said that under Sardar Saleem Haider Khan’s leadership, the party is becoming more active at the grassroots level, and his efforts to address public issues are commendable.

Both leaders discussed the performance of the Sindh and Punjab governments, emphasizing the need to learn from each other’s successful governance models, particularly in resolving administrative and municipal challenges in major cities like Karachi and Lahore.

They also stressed the importance of strengthening public-level connections between provinces to ensure greater national stability.

The discussion included comparisons of PPP’s performance in Sindh and development initiatives in Punjab, along with future strategic planning.

Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan thanked the Mayor Karachi for the visit and stated that PPP’s politics has always been centered on public service.
