Karachi (Staff Report): The candidates of intermediate were caught cheating through social media application, WhatsApp groups, during exams in Karachi on Tuesday.

According to details, the students were caught cheating during Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) at a government college in Karachi’s Quaidabad area.

The new tactic of using technology for cheating was revealed when Sindh Colleges Director General Dr Nasir visited Government Degree Boys College at Jogi Mor, near Quaidabad.

Some students claimed that their teachers asked them to join the groups to get answers from administrators of these groups by paying Rs 5,000 rupees.

The students managed to sneak the cell phones into the classrooms despite the authorities concerned issued a press release a few days back, which prohibited the possession of mobile phones in exam halls.
