Islamabad (Web Desk): Asif Ali Zardari is set to speak before a joint session of Parliament today (Monday)
The session will commence at 3pm at the Parliament House.
Given the prevailing security climate, the National Assembly Secretariat has put in place stringent precautionary measures. Access to the building will be tightly controlled, with entry strictly denied to unauthorized individuals and no invitations extended to guests. Members of Parliament have been advised not to bring any guest.
Meanwhile, Media access will also be limited with only reporters holding a valid 2026 press gallery card for both the National Assembly and Senate will be allowed to cover the proceedings.
As per the Secretariat officials, each television network will be restricted to a single cameraman inside the venue.
These enhanced arrangements have been implemented following instructions from the relevant authorities, who have pointed to serious security concerns surrounding the session.
