Rome (Web Desk): Pakistan and Italy have signed an agreement to abolish requirement of visas for diplomatic passports.
The agreement was formally signed in Rome by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Italy, Ali Javed, and Italy’s Secretary General for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Riccardo Guariglia.
Ahead of the signing ceremony, officials from both sides held discussions covering the full scope of their longstanding and friendly bilateral relations.
They also exchanged views on cooperation within international forums, particularly the United Nations UN and the European Union (EU).
Representatives of the two countries described the agreement as a symbol of the strong confidence and friendship shared by Pakistan and Italy.
They noted that the arrangement further strengthens the extensive framework of cooperation and institutional engagement already in place between the two nations.
The visa waiver agreement is expected to make official diplomatic visits more convenient, promote regular exchanges of delegations, and contribute to deeper bilateral ties.
