Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices experienced a sharp increase on Monday, as the rate of 24 karat gold per tola rose by Rs5,900, reaching Rs353,100 compared to Rs347,200 recorded on the previous trading day, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA)
In line with this upward trend, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold climbed by Rs5,058, settling at Rs302,726 from the earlier Rs297,668.
Similarly, 10 grams of 22 karat gold saw an increase of Rs4,636, with the new price reported at Rs277,508 versus the previous Rs272,872.
In contrast, silver rates remained stable. The price of per tola silver held steady at Rs3,456, while 10 grams of silver were unchanged at Rs2,962.
In the international market, gold prices also showed a notable rise, gaining $59 to trade at $3,347 per ounce, up from the previous level of $3,288. Silver prices in the global market, however, recorded no movement and remained at $32.98 per ounce.
