Islamabad (Web Desk): Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and former Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, emphasized Pakistan’s unmatched sacrifices in the global war on terror, stating that the country continues to stand at the frontline as a first responder.
Addressing an international conference titled “Pakistan’s War on Terror for the World,” Bilawal urged the global community to join hands with Pakistan in eradicating terrorism, calling it a worldwide challenge. He stressed, “Surrender is not in Pakistan’s dictionary.”
Bilawal recalled operations like Zarb-e-Azb and Radd-ul-Fasaad, which have crippled terrorist networks, noting Pakistan’s armed forces’ two-decade-long efforts and the loss of 92,000 lives in this fight.
He also identified digital propaganda as a modern threat, highlighting the need to combat both physical and information warfare.
Regarding Afghanistan, Bilawal pointed out a 40% increase in attacks on Pakistan from Afghan soil since the Taliban took power and urged the Afghan interim government to honor the Doha Agreement and prevent its territory from being used against Pakistan.
Addressing India, Bilawal called for serious peace talks to resolve the Kashmir dispute, warning India against using water as a weapon in the region.
Concluding his speech, Bilawal emphasized Pakistan’s youth — constituting 65% of the population — need access to fast internet, education, and job opportunities rather than barriers, to ensure the country’s progress.
