Peshawar (Web Desk): The Peshawar High Court has called upon the commissioners of Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, DI Khan, and other concerned officials regarding the tragic deaths of tourists in the Swat River.

During the proceedings, Chief Justice SM Atiq Shah and Justice Faheem Wali questioned the authorities about the delay in rescuing the tourists, the lack of adequate safety precautions, and why life jackets were not delivered using drone technology. The court strongly condemned the negligence, emphasizing that the loss of 17 lives is unacceptable.

The Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stated that operations against encroachments in Swat have begun, and although an air ambulance was available, help could not arrive in time due to time constraints.

The court has adjourned the hearing until tomorrow and has requested a comprehensive report on the incident.
